Who increased Czech government debt?

Source: official Czech Ministry of Finance statistics on the structure and development of government debt for 1993–2024 show that ANO reduced government debt by an average of CZK 7 billion a year until Covid-related spending produced a large deficit, while the SPOLU government has increased debt by CZK 1.4 trillion since December 2021. That is 1.82 times the increase recorded under ANO over eight years. Although Czechia still has relatively low debt, it fell from 6th to 9th place in the EU ranking (and before Covid from 4th place). The 2026 budget is only a proposal, but the SPOLU government has already planned the expenditure.
