The Czech economy in data and European comparison.
I am an economist and macroeconomic forecaster. I spent seven years at the European Central Bank and later worked at the European Commission and European Parliament. Across my career, I have worked on macroeconomic forecasting, financial markets, banking, public finances and European economic policy.
Economic analysis and international comparisons repeatedly showed me that Czechia is moving away from Europe’s most successful economies on a number of indicators. In my own analysis, I work with statistical data to show clearly where Czechia is falling behind, why, and what needs to change.
My long-term goal is to use the experience I gained abroad to help Czechia move closer again to Europe’s most successful economies in living standards and economic performance.
