University of Warwick

Economics, Politics and International Studies — first year

In the 2009–2010 academic year I studied Economics, Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick. The first year included economics, mathematics, statistics, computing and data analysis. After successfully passing all first-year examinations I transferred to the London School of Economics, where I subsequently completed the BSc Government and Economics. Warwick is therefore part of my university education but not a separately completed bachelor's degree. The year was important as the start of formal university-level study in economics and quantitative methods before the transfer to LSE.

First year

The Economics, Politics and International Studies programme combined economics, politics and international studies. First-year modules included economics, mathematics, statistics, computing and data analysis.

Transfer to LSE

After successfully completing the first-year examinations I transferred to the London School of Economics. I therefore describe Warwick as a completed first year of university study rather than as a separately awarded degree.
